Marius Müller
Director Product, Data & AI
Frankfurt am Main
I work where commercial goals meet technology. My job is to make sure both sides mean the same thing, and that a decision comes out at the end.
What I do
-
Product and platform
Leading product organisations, prioritising roadmaps against commercial goals, steering replatforming and system migrations. Experience with shop, PIM and CMS landscapes on a best-in-breed approach, from Shopify Plus to modular stacks.
-
Data and business intelligence
Building data warehouse, semantic layer and reporting so that business teams can work on their own. Leading BI, data science and product data. The goal is not completeness but the ability to decide.
-
AI and automation
Analysing processes, assessing automation potential, building solutions. From scripts through workflow automation to agents based on language models. Company-wide adoption including the questions that matter: data protection, data sovereignty and European regulation.
-
Commercial steering
Pricing, margin, assortment, promotion. The foundation comes from strategy consulting at Simon-Kucher, the practice from two D2C and e-commerce companies. From COGS and margin to CAC and ROAS.

What I stand for
I am an industrial engineer. That shapes how I work. I want to understand how things connect before I change them, and I want to be able to measure afterwards whether it made a difference.
Decisions need a basis
Most organisations are not short of data. They are short of analysis that actually changes a decision. So I am not interested in how many dashboards exist, but in which question they answer. A report nobody uses to decide something can go.
Business and engineering need someone who speaks both languages
Commercial people and developers rarely fail on competence. They fail on language. I have stood between the two for years: I understand contribution margins and unit economics, and I understand why a migration takes three months. Without that translation, investments drain away in misunderstandings.
Recurring manual work is an unsolved problem
If someone copies data for two hours every Monday, that is not a task. It is a task that was never finished. I do not automate for its own sake or to cut jobs, but so that capable people work on the questions they were hired for.
I still build
Consulting taught me to write concepts. Founding a company taught me that a concept without a running prototype says very little. So I keep writing scripts, building automations and data models. You can only lead technology you understand.
What I enjoy most is the point where an organisation switches from gut feeling to evidence and gets faster rather than slower.
MAMU
MAMU is my incubator. It is the umbrella for the ideas I pursue alongside my role as a manager: a travel platform, marketplace analytics, data consulting and today automation.
MAMU is also the legal entity, the company behind me and behind Scriptorix. What started as a collection point for my own projects is now the structure through which consulting and product development run.
The projects build on each other. First the travel platform with AI-supported advice, then marketplace data analysis, then consulting on data and automation. Scriptorix bundles that experience into one offering today.
Projects
-
Scriptorix
activePlatform-independent consulting on automation with scripts, AI and agents, aimed at mid-sized companies. The approach has two stages: analyse processes first, then automate. Technology-agnostic rather than tied to one tool.
-
MMCONS
closedPersonal consulting on data, dashboards and automation projects. Focus on Tableau, Excel VBA and scripting. The direct predecessor of Scriptorix.
-
STYLESIFT
project and test, 2023/24Analysis of brand positioning on marketplaces. Built during my time at Les Lunes to assess what optimising for Zalando actually delivers: how our own products rank, in which contexts they appear, and which brands form the competitive field.
-
ROTRIGO
halted 2020Travel platform for individual roundtrips. Users assemble their route by drag and drop, with an AI advisor supporting them with suggestions. Dynamic packaging means subsequent legs of the trip are searched and priced again automatically. Plus a social layer: share your own roundtrips with the community and travel other people's routes. The MVP was ready for go-live, operations were halted because of Covid.
